1D Class Assembly - Under the Sea
This term it has been Year 1’s privilege to host Thursday morning class assemblies. We would like to thank all the parents for their support with learning lines, providing costumes and coming to watch.
1D was lucky enough to be the first group to perform the very first class assembly of the year. In topic this term we have been learning about the seas and oceans around the world. We had just been to visit the London Aquarium so thought that this would be a great way of telling the rest of the school about what we had learnt.
We set our assembly under the sea where we were introduced to a number of interesting sea creatures. They were able to tell the school headmaster, ‘Old Octopus,’ and his school of fish some interesting facts about themselves. We were even able to quiz the audience who had been listening attentively. The boys really enjoyed rehearsing for the assembly, we hope everyone who came to see it enjoyed it too.
I was so impressed with the confidence and enthusiasm which the boys showed whilst working on this assembly. I would like to congratulate my class and their parents for all the hard work they put in and for making the assembly such an enjoyable one.
