Can you believe that here we are at the end of another school year?
This year has been especially action-packed as it started with our ISI Inspection and the pace and momentum simply continued! It has been lovely for the boys to share their learning with you at our Open Days and at each of the class assemblies as well as our annual Carol service, Easter celebration and of course the Year 2 and 3 “What a Knight!” performances this half term.
Once again, I would like to thank all of you for your support this year. WCPS is a special place and a true school community, with parents, staff and Governors working together for the boys. I would also like to say thank you to all the members of staff at our school who, as always, have worked very hard this year to ensure that the children are given the opportunity to learn in a safe and happy environment.
Well done to all the boys. Every child has progressed this year and as you will have seen the children have produced wonderful work each term. Thank you, boys, for being such great ambassadors for our successful school.
Thank you too to all the members of Friends of Squirrels who have continued to work tirelessly to raise funds to support the school. Our children really benefit from all the hard work our fundraisers do, so a big thank you to them as always. The FOS have raised a huge amount of money this year, details of which are on the following pages. I do know that the FOS would love to welcome new members, so please do get involved if you can next year.
All of us here at WCPS would like to wish our Year 2 and 3 children the best of luck in their new schools. It has been a pleasure to know you all and watch you grow. Goodbye too to those parents who are moving on and who no longer have younger children at our school. I would of course like to extend an open invitation to all of you to come back and visit and keep us updated with your achievements. We will miss you at Squirrels. Thinking of farewells - Mrs Pincott, Miss Webb and Mrs Sebastian leave us this term. We wish them the very best for their future and goodbye from us all.
We welcome Miss McElroy (Music Teacher), Miss Hanford (Year 1 Teacher), Mrs Thom, Mrs Downes, Mrs Cowlrick and Mrs Walker (Learning Support Assistants) to our teaching team.
I wish all of you a happy, safe and healthy summer holiday.
