Every Tuesday this term, I have had the pleasure of working with nine very enthusiastic musicians in my Recorder Club.
We have enjoyed learning new songs and improvising our own tunes and dances. Over the course of only a few weeks, the boys have learnt how to read musical notation, including the symbols for several different notes and rhythms. They have worked hard to improve their playing technique and have supported each other in their learning. We have made a great team!
We had a very successful Concert and tea party at the end of the term in which the boys selected their favourite songs and performed brilliantly to their parents and members of staff.
I would like to thank the boys for some thoroughly enjoyable music-making this term and I hope that you will continue to play your Recorder in the future.
