Trip to Painshill Park
On Wednesday 20th May the Reception boys were very excited to be going on a trip to learn about minibeasts at Painshill Park.
The boys enthusiastically participated in two workshops throughout the day; a ‘minibeast safari’ and ‘woodland art’ expertly led by Roz and Adam two Painshill Park Education teachers. The boys learnt many new facts about minibeasts and their habitats by observing the various creatures they found under logs and leaves in the woodland, shaking them out of trees and sweeping them from a grassy meadow. The boys were also given great ideas about how to be creative with natural materials and made interesting artworks on the woodland floor. Throughout the day many fun games were played and all the boys proudly took home a picture they had drawn and painted whilst sitting under the biggest tree in the park.
Thank you to the parents who accompanied the boys on this trip. The boys had a brilliant day out which was greatly enjoyed by the children and adults alike!
