During the week beginning 24th April, Year 1 visited Cannizaro Park in their Science lessons as part of their ‘Plants’ topic.
Thankfully, the rain held off and all classes had a lovely time exploring the park and searching for wild flowers. We were looking for daisies, buttercups, dandelions, dog roses, clover, ivy, nettles and bramble.
The boys made a tally on their clipboards of the number of each plant we saw and the most common was daisies. We also admired the beautiful flowers that had been planted in the park.
Thank you very much to our parent volunteers.
