Wild Learning Wimbledon Common
On Monday the 26th of June, 53 very excited boys turned up to school for our Wild Learning adventure.
The boys started off the morning by taking a bit of a detoured route to our meeting place in the common. Along the way, the boys explored the forest taking in their beautiful surroundings. They recognised and named different wild flowers and trees and some boys were lucky enough to see some butterflies!
The boys had a fantastic time during the survival lessons. They learnt to build dens by using sticks and logs found in the woods. They were also given a tarpaulin to waterproof their shelter for when instructor John came around with his water pistol!
In the afternoon the boys spent some time making beautiful artworks using natural elements found in nature. They used sticks, leaves and stones. The groups worked really well together and great fun was had by all!
Thank you must go to all our parent helpers who contributed to a very successful and enjoyable trip.
