FoS kicked off the school year by welcoming new parents into the Squirrels Family at the Coffee Morning on 11th September. We had a fabulous turn out!  Lots of new, enthusiastic Mums and Dads came along and we feel confident that the coming year will be one of the best yet for fundraising and enhancing our boys educational experience at school.

The annual quiz night came along soon after on the 4th of October. This event raised funds for both FoS and a fantastic local charity, Regenerate UK.  It was truly inspiring to have Regenerate come along and speak about the fantastic work they are carrying out on the Roehampton Estate. We heard about how their young people were benefitting from their youth clubs and engaged in educational schemes as well as their entrepreneurial project, The Feel Good Bakery. Participants of the quiz had a fun filled evening hosted by Year 1 Dad, Mark Gale. The winners this year hailed from a reception class with Mrs Buck’s team a close second.

The Christmas Fair, held on the 30th November, was another wonderful way to showcase what a fantastic community spirit the school has. Everyone involved put in a lot of effort to pull off a wonderful event for the boys, their families and friends. We kicked off the festive season in style with lots of family fun, games, face painting, ballon modelling and the angelic voices of the Squirrels‘ Choir, which was a highlight for all.

FoS would like to thank everyone who has been involved with our fundraising efforts and events over the past term. We look forward to welcoming you back next year with renewed spirit and gusto for the spring term ahead!
