On Monday 19th March the Reception boys excitedly boarded the coach ready to set off to Brooklands Museum on their first school trip.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed their busy day, exploring the Motor, Bus and Aircraft Museums.
After our work in class on our topic of transport, the boys were on the lookout for types of transport from the past. We saw some old fashioned bicycles, but thought that riding them must have been quite uncomfortable! The boys saw many old-fashioned cars and observed differences between these and the cars we use today.
The day had many highlights, which included sitting in a real Formula One car, although we could not quite reach the pedals! Another favourite activity was boarding Concorde. We entered the aeroplane through the luggage hold and walked through to take our seats for a supersonic journey.
Thank you to the parents who accompanied us on this special trip and took part in all the events so enthusiastically.
