On Thursday 1st March, 2L performed their informative and engaging class assembly about World Book Day.

The boys all worked very hard learning their lines and they delivered them with great expression and pace. The assembly focussed on Book Week and World Book Day. The boys shared interesting facts about the charity we supported during Book Week, Book Aid International, and celebrated the fun events that took place in school throughout Book Week.

Following the theme of World Book Day, ‘Share a Story’, a number of boys shared who they liked to share a story with. A selection of boys displayed their fantastic artwork from their favourite book and shared with the audience interesting reasons why they love these books so much. The 2L class reporters thoroughly enjoyed interviewing members of staff to find out their favourite books and enthusiastically introduced their video clips. The assembly included two lively songs about a love of reading, which the boys performed brilliantly. Their actions and facial expressions brought the words to life.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the parents of 2L for all their support with helping the boys learn the lines and songs. The boys felt very proud of their efforts and thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many parents watching their assembly.
