In January and February, our Year 2 boys were lucky enough to work with students from King’s College Senior School on some practical STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities. During the sessions, the boys took part in a range of challenges to help them think about technological ideas and to approach engineering problems with an open mind. They were set engineering tasks where they learnt about how to strengthen structures when building a bridge and how to reduce friction and improve the performance of a wheeled vehicle. Seven King’s students lead the sessions in one of the King’s College School’s Design and Engineering workshops and it is fair to say that our boys loved the experience. The smiles on their faces in the photos say it all!
Thank you to the staff and students at King’s College who led the sessions and provided such a fun and purposeful learning environment for our boys.
