On Monday 10th February, Year 1 travelled by coach to the Sutton Ecology Centre to participate in an outdoor workshop to support their Topic learning of ‘Rainforests.’ The boys listened to the story of ‘Mouse Finds A Seed’ and identified that a seed needs sunlight, water, air and time to grow into a shoot and eventually a flower. Next, they became expert Plant Explorers and were tasked with finding different plants that grow in the pond, in the woodland, in the marsh and in the meadow. It was a brilliant day and it encouraged the boys to develop their skills to observe and identify different living things. Thank you to all the parent volunteers!
