During the week of the 21st of May, we celebrated our annual art week.

We had a special visit from Tim Davies the artist. He ran workshops over 2 days for each class.

The boys built giant birds from withy frames and masking tape and covered them in papier-mâché. Finally, they were finished off with different coloured tissue paper wings and designs. The bird sculptures look spectacular!

Alongside this busy week of creativity, we also decided to support a local charity. This year we supported ‘The Art Room’. The boys collected money and different recyclable materials for ‘The Art Room’ to run their fantastic art based workshops for young people facing challenges in their lives.

Finally, to end off the week the boys took part in a whole school competition in making their own sculptures using natural materials. I am proud to say that the boys had a brilliant week expressing their creativity!
