The boys have never ceased to surprise me with the level of their confidence and skill. It starts when our new four year olds set to and deliver a memorised Harvest Celebration during their very first term at school.
Then we have the extraordinary Christmas church service. The whole school dress in their nativity finery wrap up warm and march along the Ridgway to act and sing their hearts out.
Through the school year staff work with the boys to create quite individual class assemblies which are enjoyed by us all.
Easter comes and Year 1 take the lead. Patrick & Owen visited again to deliver their percussion workshop.
Staff have led after school music clubs, boys have performed their exam pieces and we have enjoyed it all.
So here we are at the end of the school year and what a annual treat that brings. The year 2 musical. This year’s boys have been remarkable. They are a gifted bunch and I trust they will throw themselves into the musical opportunities on offer in their new schools. I wish them all the best at this very exciting time.
So for me? Well this time I really am retiring. I mean ‘really’ Mrs Buck ! It has been such fun. Delightful boys and a very skilled and happy group of colleagues. I will miss you all and wish you a very happy family summer break
