On Tuesday 11th June, Maple Class performed brilliantly to their parents and the rest of the school in their class assembly. The assembly was based on a book called ‘The Journey Home’ and it followed the path of a panda, a polar bear, an elephant, an orangutan and a dodo. All these animals’ homes were endangered due to the actions of humans on their planet so they decided to go on a boat to find somewhere new to live. These animals had a lot in common and so they made friends quickly!

In Topic the boys have been learning about the rainforests and so they already knew many fact about deforestation and what could be done to help the planet. Every boy delivered their line with confidence and clarity and it was a wonderful start to a Tuesday. Well done Maple Class!
