Willow Class Assembly
On Tuesday 25th June 2019, Willow Class performed their class assembly to the whole school and their families. As their assembly was the last one of the academic year, they decided to tell everyone about their favourite memories and facts from Year 1. Well where to begin? From bean plants, to rainforests, to oceans and seas, to RUCSAC, to punctuation, to the seaside…the boys told everyone about their favourite learning! Willow Class were flawless with their lines and remembered all of their cues.
Willow Class also sang beautifully, with not only one song but two! Each boy remembered their actions and sang for all to be heard. A highlight of the assembly had to be the performance of Toy Story’s ‘You‘ve Got a Friend’ where lots of Squirrel’s boys in the audience were humming along! The parents proudly listened to their sons sing while watching a montage of photographs from the year’s experiences. There were not many dry eyes left among the parents.
A big thank you to parents for supporting the boys in learning their lines. Both Mrs Thom and I were very proud; they were spectacular.
